ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: I arrived at Aloft Delray Beach late in the evening after an outdoor, COVID-conscious dinner. Despite the hour, the front desk staff greeted us warmly, making it feel like they had been expecting us. My sister and I took a moment to explore the lively lobby, which features neon signage and lights around a ready-to-play billiards table. Before heading to the elevators we picked up two bottled waters from the lobby shop, Re:Fuel, and the front desk agent kindly told us they were complimentary.
GUEST QUARTERS: Our top-floor room overlooked the pool deck and offered a bright, modern feel. A futon in the living area provided extra seating, while a contemporary privacy wall separated the living space from the bedroom. The bathroom featured a dark sliding door, a standing shower and a large Jacuzzi tub that added a touch of luxury. Décor throughout the room reflected Delray Beach’s art-and-entertainment vibe with pops of color and clean lines. The TV supported streaming for easy access to Netflix, and the room also included practical amenities such as a coffee machine, a mini fridge and a retro-style radio/speaker.

SERVICE & AMENITIES: The pool deck bar was closed during my stay, but the setting felt inviting for long, sunny days with a cold drink. The deck offers a variety of seating options beyond standard pool chairs, including lounge areas, cabanas and a cornhole game that my sister and I enjoyed—she won. The hotel also includes extended-stay condos with a dedicated lounge area separated by a floral partition, which created a distinct, quieter space for those guests. Although I didn’t use the fitness center, my sister noted that it was spacious, clean and allowed for social distancing.
Due to the pandemic, hot breakfast service was paused, but guests can still grab complimentary hot coffee in the lobby and purchase packaged breakfast items if desired.
