Founded by Madrid native and Parsons School of Design graduate Carmen Ruiz de Huidobro, Españolita Trips presents a curated fall retreat on the island of Mallorca. Set on a wooded private estate in the Tramuntana Mountains near Deià, the property offers peaceful gardens and secluded corners ideal for reading, reflection, and relaxation.
The weeklong itinerary balances leisure with immersive local experiences. Guests will spend a day at sea aboard an antique vessel, enjoying lunch and time to swim and explore quiet coves. Walks through olive groves and visits to a local farmer’s market bring participants closer to Mallorca’s rural rhythms, while a traditional Mallorcan cooking class reveals regional recipes and techniques. The program also includes time to discover the charm of Deià and Pollença, a visit to an artisan knife studio, a day at a vineyard with guided tastings, and a botanically focused mountain hike led by an expert guide. Informal talks will explore Mediterranean history and culture, deepening participants’ appreciation of the region.
Hands-on workshops include ceramics led by a local artist, and participants will have the chance to learn about traditional olive oil production processes. The retreat is scheduled for October 7–14 and is limited to a small group of up to 12 guests, making it well suited for couples or anyone seeking an intimate travel experience.
Pricing for a double room with en-suite bathroom starts at €3,400 (approximately $4,002). The package includes transfers to and from Palma de Mallorca Airport, transportation for all scheduled activities, shared accommodation at Son Rullán, all meals, beverages and snacks provided during tours and events, excursions, cooking sessions, and curated gifts offered during the retreat.
