21c Museum Hotels Join Accor’s MGallery Collection: What It Means

After acquiring 21c Museum Hotels last year, Accor has officially integrated the group into its MGallery Hotel Collection, bringing the brand alongside 100 boutique hotels across more than two dozen countries. This move marks MGallery’s first expansion into North America. The properties will now operate under the name 21c Museum Hotels – MGallery.

Despite the new affiliation, the distinctive identity of 21c Museum Hotels will remain intact: each property will continue to blend contemporary hospitality with curated art and cultural programming.

“MGallery was launched in 2008 to present a new vision of upscale boutique accommodation focused on evocative experiences that inspire and engage, each property rich with character,” said Yohan Amiot, vice president of brand management, MGallery. “That ambition produced a collection of individually styled hotels—storied addresses for travelers who seek memorable experiences, thoughtful design and off-the-beaten-track discoveries. Each MGallery hotel is notable for its unique personality and strong connection to its destination’s history.”

Amiot added that “the 21c brand is an ideal complement to MGallery’s approach to bespoke, creative hospitality for guests who appreciate travel, the arts and immersive experiences.”

The 21c Museum Hotels – MGallery portfolio currently includes properties in Bentonville, Arkansas; Cincinnati, Ohio; Durham, North Carolina; Kansas City, Kansas; Lexington, Kentucky; Louisville, Kentucky; Nashville, Tennessee; and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Additional locations are planned for Chicago, St. Louis and Des Moines.
