Hilton Hotels & Resorts has expanded its presence in Germany with the opening of its first hotel at Munich Airport. The new 393-room property is the only hotel with direct access to the terminal building and strengthens Hilton Worldwide’s network of airport hotels across more than 35 European cities.
“The opening of Hilton Munich Airport follows recent Hilton Worldwide airport openings at London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports, as well as in Krakow, Poland,” said Simon Vincent, president and chief executive, EMEA, Hilton Worldwide. “With nearly 40 million passengers passing through Munich Airport in 2014, we are well placed to offer guests direct, convenient access to the terminal. This new location expands our German portfolio, which now includes more than 20 hotels either operating or in development in key cities across the country.”
The hotel features extensive conference and business facilities, with 20 meeting rooms equipped for corporate and large-scale events. Dining options range from regional specialties to international dishes, and on-site wellness amenities include a swimming pool, sauna, steam bath and a fitness area. These services aim to cater to both business travelers and transit passengers seeking comfort and convenience adjacent to the airport terminal.
