Delta Air Lines: Complimentary In-Flight Entertainment for July Travelers

Delta Air Lines now offers all in-flight entertainment at no extra cost. The airline says it is the first U.S. carrier to provide complimentary access to its full onboard entertainment system for every passenger on most aircraft.

The complimentary service applies to Delta Studio, the carrier’s digital entertainment platform. Delta Studio is available for streaming to laptops, smartphones, and tablets on more than 1,000 planes, and through seat-back screens on roughly 400 aircraft. About 90 percent of Delta’s fleet consists of two-class airplanes, where this free access is offered to every traveler.

Delta Studio’s catalog includes a wide range of content: around 300 movies, including recent releases; roughly 750 television episodes; music playlists; satellite TV channels; games; and additional content options. The airline notes that specific selections and offerings can vary by aircraft type and route.

Delta also highlights that it currently provides on-demand entertainment at every seat on all long-haul international flights, a capability it says distinguishes it among U.S. carriers. Passengers can connect to Delta Studio during flight to browse and stream available titles directly to their personal devices or use the in-seat systems where provided.
