Avianca Airlines now offers business-class seating on its Los Angeles (LAX)–Bogotá (BOG) route. Travelers on the Boeing 787 twin-aisle aircraft can choose from five fare options: XS, S, M and L in economy and XXL in business. The 787 used on this route features 28 business-class seats and 222 economy-class seats.
“We know that going to Bogotá is almost like going to Europe,” said Manuel Ambriz, chief commercial officer at Avianca Airlines. “It’s a long trip and we want our customers to have the opportunity to enjoy more benefits. We listened to them, we made some internal adjustments and today we are implementing the option of flying in the business cabin on a flight of seven hours. We currently operate one daily flight between Los Angeles and Bogotá and we believe that this is an important development to the route.”

The business-class experience on this route includes a welcome drink, a choice of three entrée options for lunch or dinner, light snacks, a selection of liquors and other beverages, and enhanced onboard comfort items such as a blanket, pillow, an amenity kit and a mattress pad for overnight flights. An inflight entertainment system is also provided.
Flight AV0083 departs Los Angeles (LAX) daily at 8:45 p.m. local time and arrives in Bogotá (BOG) at 5:45 a.m. local time the following day, with an approximate flight time of seven hours. The return service departs Bogotá each day at 1:10 p.m. local time, arriving back in Los Angeles at about 7:00 p.m.
This change gives travelers on the LAX–BOG route a premium option for improved comfort and service on a long-haul regional flight, while maintaining multiple economy choices for those seeking different price and comfort levels.
