British Airways will introduce two new summer routes to Greece and Corsica next year.
From May 26 through Sept. 29, 2019, the airline will operate a twice-weekly service between London Heathrow and Preveza (PVK) in northwestern Greece, a convenient gateway to the Ionian Islands. The outbound flights will depart Heathrow at 08:20 on Wednesdays and 11:25 on Sundays, arriving in Preveza at 13:45 and 16:50 respectively. Return services will leave Preveza at 14:45 on Wednesdays and 17:45 on Sundays, arriving back in London at 16:10 and 19:10.
In addition, British Airways will launch a weekly route between Heathrow (LHR) and Bastia (BIA) on Corsica. Operating Saturdays from May 25 through Sept. 28, 2019, this service complements the carrier’s existing Heathrow–Figari (FSC) flights added earlier in 2018. Saturday departures from London are scheduled for 07:40, with arrivals in Bastia at 11:00. Return flights depart Bastia at 11:50 and land at Heathrow at 13:10.
Alongside these new routes, British Airways plans to increase frequencies on a number of other summer services from Heathrow, including Marseille (MRS), Budapest (BUD), Gibraltar (GIB), Palermo (PMO), Amsterdam (AMS) and Malaga (AGP). The airline is also expanding frequencies from London City (LCY) to Ibiza (IBZ), Edinburgh (EDI) and Berlin (TXL).
Earlier this year the carrier confirmed an additional summer route from Gatwick (LGW) to the Greek island of Kos (KGS), which will begin operating in summer 2019.
