California is calling travelers to visit in 2025 to discover a lineup of new attractions, openings and special events across the state.

Museums
Several new museums and cultural centers are set to open in 2025. Highlights include the Santa Ynez Chumash Museum and Cultural Center in Santa Ynez, the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Performing Arts Center in San Diego, and the Counterculture Museum in San Francisco. These institutions promise fresh perspectives on regional history, arts and community heritage.
Accommodations
Travelers will find many new and refreshed lodging options across California next year. Notable openings and re-openings include Appellation Healdsburg, the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center, Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara, Under Canvas Yosemite, and AC Hotel by Marriott Pasadena. From luxury resorts to unique glamping experiences, the expanded accommodation choices make it easier to tailor a stay to any itinerary.

Attractions
New and refreshed attractions will add to California’s variety of experiences. SeaWorld San Diego will debut Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience, an immersive exhibit opening in spring 2025. The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens in Palm Springs plans an expansion that includes a splash pad and a new café/marketplace. LEGOLAND California will reopen its Driving School in a new location, and Disneyland Resort will mark its 70th anniversary beginning May 16, 2025, with celebrations continuing into summer 2026. These updates offer new reasons to visit familiar destinations and explore evolving favorites.
