Westin Launches First Resident Running Concierge Service

Christopher Heuisler, an experienced marathoner who has completed 25 marathons across 20 states, has been named Westin Hotels & Resorts’ first-ever RunWESTIN concierge. Westin conducted a month-long search for a seasoned runner to serve as the brand’s on-site running expert for VIP guests at select Rock ‘n’ Roll series events; more than 1,000 applicants vied for the role.

As RunWESTIN concierge, Heuisler will join Westin guests participating in the Montréal Rock ‘n’ Roll event and lead a range of VIP services. His responsibilities include offering practical training tips, guiding a pre-race tour of the course, leading a routine warm-up run, greeting runners at the finish line, and sharing race-recovery advice. In addition to Montréal, Heuisler will appear at Westin VIP marathon packages for races in Denver, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

The RunWESTIN concierge program is designed to enhance the experience for traveling runners by combining expert guidance with the comforts and amenities Westin provides. Guests booked in the VIP marathon package receive personalized attention and the chance to prepare and recover alongside a knowledgeable runner who understands the demands of race day.

For runners, having an on-site expert can make pre-race logistics smoother and race-day routines more effective. Heuisler’s role includes practical, on-the-ground support—such as route familiarization, dynamic warm-ups, and post-race recovery tips—helping guests feel confident and supported throughout the event weekend.

Westin’s initiative reflects a growing trend among hotels to offer specialized services for active travelers. By pairing hospitality with sport-specific expertise, the brand aims to create memorable, performance-focused stays that cater to the needs of marathon participants and fitness-minded guests.

Guests interested in the VIP marathon package can expect a blend of hotel comfort and running-focused amenities: guided course previews, structured warm-up routines, one-on-one advice from a seasoned marathoner, and recovery guidance after the finish. These services are intended to streamline the race weekend experience and help travelers perform at their best while enjoying Westin’s hospitality.

This program underscores Westin’s commitment to supporting guests whose travel plans center around athletic events. With Heuisler acting as a dedicated concierge and running resource, marathoners staying at participating Westin locations will have access to tailored support designed to enhance both preparation and recovery during race weekends.
