As of July 23, the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort is open and welcoming travelers. The resort has implemented enhanced health and safety measures to protect guests and staff while preserving the luxurious experience visitors expect. Refreshed overwater villas, updated public areas and the reopening of the Iridium Spa offer compelling reasons to return to this iconic destination.
On arrival at Bora Bora airport, travelers will undergo temperature screening and all luggage will be sanitized by St. Regis staff before being transferred to the resort by boat. These steps are part of a streamlined arrival process designed to minimize risk while maintaining a smooth, comfortable welcome.

At the resort, guests will find contactless check-in and upgraded digital communications at reception to reduce physical contact. Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the property, social-distancing measures are in place, and enhanced cleaning protocols ensure frequent disinfection of high-touch areas. Staff members follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment as appropriate.
Activities and services that require equipment—such as bicycles and snorkeling gear—have been adjusted so items are assigned to individual guests rather than shared. This approach ensures personal use of amenities for the duration of a stay, reducing cross-contamination while allowing guests to enjoy recreational options with confidence.

The resort’s overwater villas have received thoughtful updates, including fresh paint, maintenance to roofs and decks where needed, and interior refreshes. Returning guests will notice new furniture, refreshed wall treatments and décor in a modern, light and natural palette that complements the lagoon setting.
The spa has also been refreshed and will reopen under the Iridium Spa name, part of the St. Regis signature collection. The 13,000-square-foot spa sits on a secluded stretch of beach with views of Mount Otemanu, offering a serene setting for wellness treatments, relaxation and rejuvenation.
